Article 9 — Cosmetic risks and external condition during repairs
- When carrying out repair, disassembly and reassembly work on Apple Mac computers and other electronic equipment, minor cosmetic damage may occur despite careful and professional handling. This may include, among other things, small scratches, light signs of use or minimal damage to the casing.
- The customer is advised that such cosmetic risks may be related to the nature, construction, material and condition of the device offered, in particular in the case of used equipment, pre-existing damage or components that are difficult to disassemble.
- By handing in the device for repair, the customer acknowledges that limited cosmetic risks may be inherent to certain repair work. This does not mean, however, that the customer waives any statutory rights or that iMac and More is exempt from liability for damage that should legally be borne by iMac and More.
- iMac and More advises the customer to jointly record the external condition of the device before the repair, for example by taking photographs and noting it on the work order. Any pre-existing damage is recorded wherever possible.
- iMac and More is not liable for pre-existing cosmetic damage or normal signs of use. Liability for any new damage will be assessed based on the circumstances of the case and the applicable statutory provisions.
